Stay tune Fauske!

Almost 6:30 already, I woke up an hour ago. Eat breakfast, wash my face, feel a little bit sick… Drink some tea (I really love a cup of vanilla tea, it is truly refreshing) And now I’m getting back to my beloved blog. I had to say I ate all of my breakfast before take their pictures LOL Don’t worry there’s going to another round at 7 am. Along with the alongside views.

The Night Train

It is a great great train trip (for the first time) – this is a real first class train, at first we’ve got the double bedroom (of which obviously too small for me and Christ to stay together; since I’m 5’9″ and he’s 6’2″)

So he paid extra for the suite instead – we both are too big to stay in a small bedroom (yep.. I didn’t pay for the upgrade) without any warn I jumped into the bed and sleep because I am very tired since the amsterdam’s parties and traveling around in the train without bed. Seeing just a bedroom is good enough but it is even better when it is bigger and more luxury. I had to say this is the best train I’ve ever been on but no wonder why it is quite slow – it designed to be a luxury vintage train (inside). I wish the outside of this train can be a little bit more creative. The most wonderful thing above all is I’m going pass the Arctic Circle.

First room we'd looked at (too small, really)

Christ said the most luxury train is actually in Asia. – I’ll go there soon :)

This is not getting half of their LUXURY!!?!

The Double Bed Room

The Suite

I slept for a while and woke up to eat and enjoy the scenery. This is what happiness is after the long hours of uncomfortable travelling. The train’s officer came up to me and speak spanish… she thought I was from Spain (at first I thought she thinks I’m from Mexico LOL) I can speak European spanish but why bother I’m an american girl… just speak english!

The breakfast was awesome… It is french crepe, which is my favourite. It reminds me very much of Paris. The best crepe of France I’d ever taste was in front of the Eiffel Tower. And the breakfast taste just like that. I also ordered the tomato cream soup that I had to order everywhere I go just because it is my childhood favourite. Christian ate the same thing as I did… But I secretly hope that he would order something different because I’d like to try almost everything on the menu. (The food are free but it will make me look bad and greedy if I order too much – and maybe there’s a fine for someone who didn’t finish them)

I’m glad I’ve got a really good accompany who doesn’t have to rush back to anything like Christ and he also knows a lot about everything. Strangely, he’s only 2 years older than me. He told me that travelling makes us grew older intellectually and we will always learn more about how thing goes around when we travel, we will meet normal people and strange people all the time but after all to travel alone will tighten the relationship between yourself and you. (Even that sounds clever)

I am thinking about write a book about this trip because there’s so many thing I want to write about, well… I want to write about my feelings too but I don’t think will be appropriate for the blog – because I am trying to do a travelling blog here. Things I want to share here is what I’d seen but sometimes it is almost impossible for me not to say something about myself, right? I really feel so self-centred here, please forgive me.

Travelling to Fauske is almost the same scenic as from Oslo to Trondheim. So I focus more on eating and took some snapshots for you guys to see. Other than that I read my book and get to know my friend a little bit more since we’re going to Moscow together in the same route so that’s mean we will glued together for over a week (now we’ve been together for 48 hours straight without any rest)

When we arrive at Fauske we’re going straight to Narvik by bus. It’s going to be a 5-hour bus ride – but after I read some articles on the travelling magazine on this train; the bus is world’s first class …. umm…believable? I don’t know because it’s of cause theirs so they had to say something nice about it.

before bedtime update : Oslo to Trondheim trip

It is a sure scenic railway trip.. but I had to say there’s nothing for me to take pictures of that much. As you know the feeling of looking out the window from a train, it is beautiful… repeatedly beautiful. So I just take some snaps not so many though. My friend just got up on the train and went immediately to sleep. At that time I thought to myself “Didn’t you tell me this is cannot be missed out?” I didn’t ask him at that time but I DID ASK. He told me that “Aren’t you enjoy the whole way of that beautifully god-made view?” Yeah, yeah, yeah. I did enjoy that pretty much.

Norway isn’t as cold as I thought it would be it is around 48 F (9 C) – it is cold but not as much as I imagine but I get to wear my new trench coat and my scarf anyways. I am so tired and sleepy, contrary to Chris here. The next train will leave Trondheim after midnight and I think I am going to get some sleep before get on the train and a little bit more on the train too. This is going to be a 10-hours ride, can’t wait for it. Even thought I am tired and feel so worn out I am very much enjoy every railway trip.

Before I come blogging here, I was having dinner and lots of beer (so there’s nothing to take picture of in Trondheim at night – you guys don’t have to feel missed out or anything) Trondheim has a very memorable landscape and with that cold beer or vodka is really match the place.

Good night and see you at Fauske !!!
